For those who are curious about what happened, the event started slowly, but did pick up. When I first got there Mark Lisi was the only Metro there. Richie Williams and Jaime Moreno showed up later. Richie was particularly friendly and enthusiastic, and was doing a lot of bantering with the guests. Mark and Jaime were cool too. The event was pretty well attended by the end. Some people came especially for the Metros, others were just regulars. I met a group of Europeans who work in the building and said that they were planning to go on Saturday, so hopefully this event generated some interest in the Metros. Someone sang a fight song at the end that I never heard before. The drink specials were not bad. Overall, an enjoyable evening out.
My sister and I were there last night. Unfortunately, due to some navigating problems (eh, I won't go into that ) we got there only for the last hour. But I agree, an enjoyable evening, and well run. It was good to see such a turnout. Thanks to Richie and Mark for the bartending.
It was a good evening. Good bartenders, good crowd. I also got to meet MoJo and some of the Metro Front Office. Every single front office person was apologizing up & down and cursing Nike for the lack of Jerseys. Richie Williams looked tall standing next to some of the bartenders. Word to the wise: Take it easy when Lisi is making drinks. I woke up with a HUGE hangover.
