    Omar Bradley...

Was a great WWII American General...served with Patton. Helped lead the Americans take Europe back from the Nazis.

Great that Bradley is getting out to the fans. DC United fans have been the grateful recipients of this type of thing from United's players and front office guys for their entire existence, and I can assure you that it helps the support of the team. Kudos to both Bradley and Sakiewicz for this inpromptu Q&A session.

But it was naiive and poor of Bradley to say he didn't want to see this stuff on the internet in a few hours. Fan buzz is essential to growing the sport by word of mouth. Media coverage--of any kind--is essential to growth in the traditional US sports community. Bradley should be very very happy that someone is writing an article in a newspaper or posting about the league online. MLS is hoping to become popular and passionate like the NFL, not the PGA.

ESC has been doing this format for a meeting for a number of years. Thanks for your ignorance. Your board is that way.

Bradley was specifically talking about his responses to questions about players. Bradley gave candid and honest assessments of certain Metro and non-Metro players. I didn't think anything he said was particularly ground breaking, but I understand that he didn't want this stuff on bigsoccer or other public boards. ESC members have respected and will continue to respect his request.
