Metrostars win 4-0 Goals by Moreno, Mario, Garnero and Gabriel Valencia but I would say that here is an early guess at your metrostars starting line up MetroStars First Half Lineup: GK - Tim Howard; D - Steve Jolley, Eddie Pope, Tim Regan, Craig Ziadie; M - Kenny Arena, Dillon Sheppard, Daniel Garnero, Mario Rosas; F - Clint Mathis, Jaime Moreno Perhaps with Clark in for Arena, though it looks like Clark is not currently in camp is he with one of the youth teams at the moment?
Dillon Sheppard, Daniel Garnero, Mario Rosas i doubt all 3 will make the roster b/c of salary cap issues.... not sure about SI spots...though i think rosas will be considered a TI but yeah, if we could swing it...it seems it would be great to have all 3....
Galarcep's article on the game: http://www.northjersey.com/page.php...lRUV5eTYzNDQ4NTkmeXJpcnk3ZjcxN2Y3dnFlZUVFeXk2 You have to go through a couple of screens to get to the article. Sounds like Sheppard, Rosas and Garnero can all be signed. Kenny Arena on the first team? Jeff Moore must not be happy. Ziadie sounds like that he will have more offensive responsibilites this year due to the lack of a right midfielder. Here's some official propaganda: http://www.metrostars.com/metronews/submissions/2003/february/02202003v1.htm
rosas is training despite not having a finalized contract.... i wonder if the umpa lumpa is reading this. no, no, richie, stay in jersey.
nah chicago lost the 1st game against the U-17s 2-1 but they were sore losers and wanted a rematch so then U-17s let chicago win 2-0 so they wont have to play them again.
Well, we're apparently up 2-0 against you guys at the half this morning, as per a Peter Wilt post in the Fire forum. Later, COZ
There's a world of difference between a team consisting of player's who by and large have never played together before losing to a fellow first division side during training and a first division side losing to a collection of acne and cracking voices. Thanks for your weak attempt to salvage something from this.
I believe this is where I take your "Wow, talk about that lineup, we won't be seeing anything close to that come opening day, thank heaven!" from that other thread and throw it right back at you. But I doubt you looked at our lineup for those first two preseason matches, and I wouldn't expect you to anyway. The success or failure of the Fire season is NOT hinging on the performances of Chad Dombrowski and Phil Swenda. And you lost to a fellow first division side that lost to "a collection of acne and cracking voices." So either you REALLY suck or preseason results are totally meaningless. Or they're only meaningful when those results support your argument. Take your pick. Later, COZ
Take it easy man, dont have a titty attack... Preseason games are meant to experiment with your squad. Its not like either of the teams had their best XI out there the whole game and gave 110% to win.
My titties are just fine, thanks for asking! I'm just pointing out, um, "logical inconsistencies" in Sweeper's argument, that's all. Understandably, it's still preseason, and supporters are trying out new formations of smack talk, so I'm not going to base any conclusions about the upcoming season on it. Later, COZ
This is good since Chicago lost to these guys. Maybe are defense is improving, we held Adu to no goals! He scored twice against the Fire.
