MetroStars defender Jeff Parke noted his personal pleasure with his performance in the weekend's 3-1 win over Columbus, as he rises up the ranks at the club due to his impressive showing.
The defender was the final pick by the MetroStars - and overall - in the 2004 MLS SuperDraft, but was installed as a starting defender for the win at Crew Stadium.

I definetly was surprised on his play, and he was the last pick in the MLS draft

Mark Lisi's midfield star showing for the MetroStars helped his club start the season with three points, following their impressive 3-1 victory at Columbus on Saturday.
Lisi set up two of the three Metro goals, leaving his manager, Bob Bradley, more than pleased with his team's opening.

Hmmm... with draft pick #1 a few years ago, the Metros picked fullback Steve Shak.

Nice way to publicize the Metros-DC matchup: draftpick #1 v draftpick #60. You know who I will be rooting for. Hey, you never know, the kid might even make
