    In the 1st half, yes.

But they looked pretty good in the 2nd half, and certainly showed a lot of heart

Congrats on the victory. Metalist certainly made you work for it. This should not have been even close but our boys tried their darnedest and fell a bit short.

We looked better, comparatively speaking, the last half of the second half. But good is stretching it really really far.

Most nerve racking game ever! Just when I was yelling for McFadden to get off the pitch, he puts one in.:p We need a Middfield of Cahill, Arteta, Pienaar, and Jagielka. Defence NEEDS to be fixed, and for once, I wanted Hibbert on.

On another note, apparently Palermo vs. Mladá Boleslav has 90' + 17.":p

Jagielka? Are you sure? I'd say Gravesen.

    I agree.

That's why I put "pretty" in front of it. :)

I didn't even notice Jagielka was playing until he was subbed out.

Well the last two games he ahs underperformed so I would not mind Gravesen. When is he supposed to be back?

Or Osman...our midfield on the whole was pretty terrible. Arteta showed sparkles but nothing in comparison to his performance on Sunday. The one that surprised me the most was Yobo, he seemed to be completely clueless, he'd frequently ball-watch and leave the older of the two centre backs to clean up his mess!

He tends to do that when paired with Stubbs, though. I cannot figure out why.

I agree with that, I honestly don't see a place for P. Nev anymore.

It's strange isn't it. But if I was Moyes my back four would be, Baines, Yobo, Lescott and Jags every time. But he seems to disagree with that.

Here's some info on UEFA Cup's format for those (like me) who aren't too familiar with it:

well, think about his mentality. when he's with stubbs he probably feels like the little kid, but when he's with lescott he's the leader and ups his game. i'm not surprised, but moyes got it right starting stubbs today

Good 2nd half. Everton just need to step up their level of play right away.
They play down to the level of play of weaker opponents too often.

Moyes just needs them to stay switched on for the whole match in all matches.

I wouldn't have a problem with that at all. And quite a bit more offensive too.
