But as long as they are metal, i respect every band, even if i don't like their music (the exception are some church-burning and/or fascist idiots).
Why? Don't get me wrong, probably half my music collection is metal. I love all sorts of metal. Doesn't mean King Diamond or Prong are any good.
metal is only not good when it descends into tuneless sludge. unfortunately i have seen quite a lot of examples of this.
I respect those bands for playing music you can't earn much money with (at least as long as you aren't Iron Maiden or sell-out to MTV) just because of their love for metal. But of course that doesn't mean that i would listen to a band i don't like or that i would pretend to like them.
