I got a kick out of the Pantera section! hee hee! In 2 years they went from big hair band to the Pantera we know today? Sounds like a marketing decision....

The Pantera thing is common knowlege, and I agree that it was a marketing idea when they realized glam was dead to change into "tough guys".

The Slayer page is absolutely hilarious, and the Zakk Wylde one is surprising, too. The RATM/Tool page is funny too -- I always assumed those guys were a little swishy, and Morello's old pix don't refute that. The "high school" photo of Maynard Keenan is actually his USMC basic training photo (I've seen it in a Tool book).

If the 2nd photo is really from 1980 it was taken even before they founded the band Dragonslayer to play Judas Priest covers. (the year surprised me because i never read in a biography that they played together before 1981 )
