Only because you just brought it up.

Please get off of social media, and if you can’t do that, please stop bringing the impressions caused by your curated, algorithm driven feed into these threads.

Messi only played 37 mins tonight. Alba left around the same time so maybe just minutes management.

Seems dumb to take them off minutes apart and burn two sub windows if it was planned.

Yeah it's just weird that they both happened to have injury flare ups at the same time though. I dunno.

The first cut, meh. The tiny touch to escape the tackle is classic Messi and nuts.

So Messi and Alba are out against Orlando too with "exhaustion". What horrible injuries are being hidden???

Inter Miami & Lionel Messi: Can they make Audi MLS Cup Playoffs?

DCU currently holds the 9th and final playoff spot in the East. Based on points per game, they project to finish the year at 41 pts.

MIA have 31 pts with 6 to play, meaning 11 pts would get them to 42, ahead of DCU and into the playoffs (assuming all other teams also match their current PPG pace).

MIA has 2 games against the top 2 teams in the East (CIN,ORL), and 4 games against the 3 teams immediately above them in the standings (NYC,CHI,CLT twice). They just have to win those 4 to get in (theoretically).

So looks like Messi might not start the Open Cup final either... Rumors that he is already sick of the NA Retirement League already spreading. Even if he does play in the final, I expect this will be the last we see of his this season. He's clearly done.

What is the NA Retirement League and where is it spreading?

If you’re trying to contribute usefully to a reasonable discussion by people who like soccer and want thoughtful takes based on credible info, you really need to rethink your approach.

The average person in the world calls MLS the NA Retirement League (despite the reality of a young average age of players).

Your algorithm-driven social media feed is not the average person in the world.

Or even the average MLS fan. My algorithm-driven feed doesn't show me any of the stuff that is supposedly "being said" about Messi or MLS or whatever. You have to go looking for it for the algorithm to be tuned to showing it to you in the future.
