To all who attended the festivities at The Claddagh Tuesday and Wednesday. We were so very pleased with the turnout and to meet all the fans from around the country. Thank you for the scarves, the songs and the utter insanity you put me and my staff through. It really was an honor hosting you all. That was my 1st experience with a USMNT event and I have never met a better group of people. I hope everything went great for everyone and you all had a safe and enjoyable time. I have never seen 5 people pour beer so fast in my life and I have been behind a bar for the last 8 years. We hoped for big and you brought us MASSIVE!! Get some rest and see you soon!! DOS A CERO!!!!
The Claddagh's connection definitely made this trip a winner. Great work and I hope to return there some day in the future.
Did you stalk try to run the Mexico bus off the road like you did the other one? Was it the Guats or Hondos that you did that to?
As the English sportscasters would say......BRILLIANT! Claddaghs was up to the task, did a wonderful job of hosting fans from everywhere. To the gentlemen who waited on us and brought our drinks on Tuesday and Wednesday, many thanks. To the establishment, again thanks, and congratulations for a perfect setup.
+1!!! thanks so much Claddagh! Hope you'll give the crew a much deserved day off or some free Calrsberg!!!
Claddagh is my home bar.. Craig was very excited about the event in the past upcoming weeks. I talk to him yesterday and he was and still excited about everything that happened and cant thank everyone enough for making it all work...
Good thing you backed off my waitress!!! I was about to have fighting words w/ you since you were trying to "steal" her from me after I introduced you to here... Didn't feel right partying w/o Rishi (quickly recovered thought! ) but it was good hanging out the the gang!
Truth on that, hope they made some good tip money, you cheap soccer fan tightwads! Props to Craig for understanding that repairing the bar damage (which was accidental) was just a teeny chunk of his take this week and not freaking out about it! Who cares who was cheering and partying where, or who hosted it (AO or SA)? Claddaughs and Ruby Tuesdays were both heroic hosts! Noise, screaming, cussing, rowdiness, spilled beer were incredible at BOTH places by BOTH groups! Unity rocks, no matter how many places it occurs! (Wouldn't mind seeing AO mentioned in ESPN articles along with SA, though ... just sayin'.)
Did Claddagh both nights, and did Ruby Tuesday early Wed (just before the skies opened up). Both nights, we ended up at Waffle House. Too many Belfast/Derry Specials...Irish Car Bombs 10, Me 0.
Were you the one doing the Anti-Mexico (pro-Guatemala) chants in Spanish? If you were, my brother got you on video, will send to you when they are available. Good job.
Possibly...dunno know if they were "pro-Guatemala" [/shrugs] To be perfectly honest, I'm not a native Spanish speaker, but after being an ESC member for over a decade, I've come to learn a little bit...and it's all bad words from Uruguayans and other South Americans who teach nasty/vulgar chants and what not at MLS games to fellow Section 101 types. And in the 1st pic, the "legend" is NYRMetro.
And that was like at 8:45am on our Bus heading out there. Sorry we missed all the fun both nights. Would have liked to have made it out to the bar after the game but, not having the bus to transport us, it just didn't work out. Ahh Waffle House. 6 mexicans walk in and are waiting for a table. We come in right after them (all wearing our 2-0 t-shirts). They turn around look at us, then walk out of the place.
