hey man, nothing brutal about that. shit happens like that. i remember bosnia was the same way. you build and then you start to play consistenly. you got hte national squad now, as long as you have players that are willing to die for that shirt, who gives a shit if you lose 50-0. bleed that blood.
A sad day in the soccer world. The greatest American player in history and one of the greatest in the world is left off the WC team. I applaud this great man. For those that never watched him play. On the international stage, World Cup, he is one of the greatest WC player ever. Landon Donovan has as many WC goals (5) as Cristiano Ronaldo (2), Robin van Persie (2) and Lionel Messi (1) COMBINED.
These were just good times.....nobody does it better than us. That is the American clutch gene. Reaction
This guy passed away 6 days after the tackle from the goalkeeper having suffered internal injuries. https://sg.sports.yahoo.com/news/player-died-horror-tackle-had-not-paid-months-182100371.html When I was reading this article it reminded me of the De Jong tackle on Xabi. Still can't believe it wasn't a red card. Glad Xabi is fine.
there were so many wrongs in that incident. horror tackle, no cards (not even yellow), player not paid, not immediately sent to hospital... if you see the vid again, it wasn't 50-50 and the ball wasn't even bouncing, yet the right foot of the keeper was so high...
Man, it just won't feel right not having Donovan at the World Cup. Julian Green's a great prospect, but I can't see him being more useful than Donovan off the bench. And Brad Davis? DeAndre Yedlin? Give me a ********ing break. I'll never believe this was 100% soccer related. Especially considering Klinsmann's son was mocking Landon on Twitter after the news broke.
Keeping Landon Donovan at home was weird to read. I mean, the US always have him as their #10. I always liked him. Failed miserably in Europe, but you could see that the talent was there. Great pace and skill on the ball. 32 is not old and he should have been in the squad. But you know, I'm not an American and I haven't seen him play since Everton so I don't know how his form has been in the past years.
I had a major BF yesterday when I read this, I think I might have another one today too. I might write a damn letter too!
I'm sure Platini gave them some sort of out. The biggest joke about these "regulations" is how easily the punishments are circumvented. What is the point of the entire debacle then? EDIT: As punishment they should be forced to give us Ibrahimovic for free.
Lars Bender out for Germany. Germany's mid-field is a non-fit Schweini, a non-fit Khedira and ultra slow Kroos.
Yeah, our DM situation is really annoying. When in doubt, just put Dönerkevin Großkreutz there, I'm sure he will do a decent enough job.
Where do PSG intend to play David Luiz? CB next to Thiago Silva? It's alot of money but I suppose in the french league he won't be as exposed. Probably get away with it in the CL until the latter stages.
There is something seriously wrong with the market if Luiz is worth this kind off absurd range of money. What a waste of money.
