Alpharetta, GA February, 2005: World Cup and Olympic players, Florence Omagbemi Onuja and Mercy Akide Udoh have joined local Alpharetta soccer complex - Stars/Tophat Stars Soccer Club as professional coaches for the 2005 season.

Coach Florence comes to Stars/Tophat Stars from the Women's Nigerian Team, which she led to four World Cup competitions. Florence also represented Nigeria in the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. She also played for the Boston Breakers in the Women's United Soccer Association (WUSA) in 2001 and the San Diego Spirit (WUSA) in 2002 - to name only a few more of this player's long list of accomplishments.

Coach Mercy - known as "Marvelous Mercy" in the professional soccer world who is also from Nigeria - has played in three World Cups and two Olympic Games - Sydney in 2000 and Athens in 2004. Mercy played on two WUSA teams - the San Diego Spirit and the Hampton Roads Piranhas before deciding to turn her considerable talents to coaching and training at Star's.
