Meola on the radio tonight

    from the Wizards news release today:

    Kansas City Wizards goalkeeper Tony Meola is set to co-host a weekly radio show that will air on Thursday nights from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on 810 WHB. Meola will join Kansas City Chiefs tackle Marcus Spears and 810 WHB on-air personality Steven St. John in hosting “Out of Bounds”, an hour long show dedicated to sports.

    “Out of Bounds” will debut tonight at 7:00 p.m. and will air live from O’Dowds on the Plaza. O’Dowds is located at 4742 Pennsylvania Ave. Fans are encouraged to watch live at O’Dowds or call in and talk sports with Tony Meola, Marcus Spears and Steven St. John. The call in number is 816-381-0810.

    decent show, I am sure it will go better as it goes along.

    about 1/3 of the calls were about soccer.

    Trent Greene and Marcus Spears each bought 40 season tickets, don't know when though.

    I sat through it last night. They were at some loud bar and couldn't hear any phone calls. Tony was with Steven St.John and Spears, neither of which could have given a rats *ss about soccer. They did mention the match a few times, and maybe if the phones worked some callers would have made a contribution. This Desiree bikini model seemed to be the main attraction last night. http://www.bikini.com/supermodels/desiree/desiree.html Hopefully Tony's making a few bucks on the gig to make it worth his while.
