Well, I have a reason to actually watch a MetroStars game from now on.

When he was good (and not hurting himself jumping off St. Patrick's Day parade floats), he was the best. I will personally miss him and carry fond memories of 2000.

I care. And everytime Tony comes back to Arrowhead he'll get the "Chris Henderson treatment" from me. Tony and Mo are the only people affiliated with the Mutts to get applause and cheers from me.

Exactly. His whining was aimed at Gansler and the front office not the fans. "Standing O" from me when he comes back.

So will we still do the "You're shite, HA!" chant on his goal kicks?

Yes he will, during games he's the enemy and gets the same treatment as any other goalie, before and after the game he gets Chris Henderson treatment.

While this is off topic (put keeper harassment related), I couldn't help but laugh hysterically at the "Johnny Walker" chant you guys over in the Cauldron sent ol' Bill Gaudette's way on Wednesday night. That was funny. He was standing pretty far forward at the time, but I hope he heard you guys. Perhaps that is why he botched the distribution on about 5 goalkicks later in the game.

Well if he didn't hear it during the game, he heard it afterwards, as we started it again as he walked off the field. Funny thing that none of us knew about though, was the Walker was at the game wearing a Crew polo. He was up in the press box.

Sorry folks but I have to do this - I'm not real savy on the MLS inside stuff.....

Why are they referred to as the Mutts???

Mutts is derogitory and sounds close to Metros. If there's another reason check the dc board.

What was the chant? if you can't post it, please pm it.
Meola should, for all times into the the future, be a KC hero. he was beyond stunning in 2000, brought the championship to the city, and was a heck of a good advocate for the team. really nice guy, too.

We gave him the Johnny Walker chant, same one as we gave him during the game. And I'm referring to Gaudette

I can't believe they released Meola without asking for anything in return, like a sixth round draft choice. KC allowed two of their competitors to make major upgrades for free.

I always thought they were called Mutts because of the whole cross-bred New York / New Jersey thing.
