Looking at the PKs Valencia committed today, I am convinced these guys are throwing games. It looks like the first one was given as a hand ball, but the bear hugs two players were doing on Jude and Mbappe were PKs (specifically the one on Mbappe) and honestly, they are incomprehensible.
Suarez suspended for a match at Inter Miami for (heel) kicking a player in the balls. Always loved his intensity and work rate on the field but he has done some dirty plays to say the least. You'd think at this point in his life after he would have learned his lesson ... 1986150949308801527 is not a valid tweet id
what happened to Ajax ? worst defense and offense ( 1 goal for and 14 goals against ) them and Benfica lost all games so far , not the clubs i thought would be at the bottom of the table out of the 36 teams.
Mourinho-led Benfica, I might add. From people I know that follow Dutch football closely, it apparently was a huge surprised that Ajax were even involved in the Eredivisie title race last season. This season, perhaps their quality level is finally being reflected in the league table, and if you're 4th-best in Holland chance are you aren't going to do well in CL.
Italy,Turkey,Poland and Denmark ? Iraq and Congo favorites but i predict Bolivia to go through instead of Iraq
That graphic has the home team wrong in 3 out of the 4 finals. What I would say are the "favorites" in each bracket all have to play away from home (Italy, Poland, Denmark, Türkiye). That makes things tricky for them and tougher to predict.
Nice work by Elche getting the draw vs LPB. Hector Fort and Iñaki both played well, for the most part. Refs did everything they could to help LPB win, with the 10 minutes of extra time and the red card to Elche. Now only 1 point adrift of the top.
Aaand the meltdown by the crybaby fans of that crybaby team is delicious. Wonder how they can cry about the refs after this one...
Yeah, feels like a season reset has come Barca's way. Things haven't gone smoothly for Barca to say the least with injuries to key players, high line not working like last season, feeble loss in el clasico and embarrassing delays with Camp Nou. But now we are getting healthier (at least up front and in goal where the squad is thin), have returned to Camp Nou, and basically caught up in the league table and with still a good chance to finish top 8 in UCL.
Yep. With the squad getting healthy, being only a point behind from the lead feels like a gift. Hopefully the worst is behind in terms of injuries. Still have to deal with the fact that other teams have a had a chance to study Flick's offsides line better and are coming better prepared to deal with it.
Aaaand, the tears by LPB crybaby fans are DEEEE-licious!!! I highly recommend you go drink in their match thread. It will warm your heart, Culers! Meanwhile, RMTV crybitches are already posting their whines and cries about supposed ref mistakes. Yup, even though LPB are well on their way to a record number of PKs called in their favor.
It's still early days to say anything definitive, but losing top spot after three draws in a row in La Liga following the high of winning the clasico (and the ensuing arrogance) is at the very least a mini crisis. I do agree that the tears are glorious, they don't know who or what to blame anymore. It's a shame we we were missing some key players and didn't really show up as we are capable of in the clasico. Look at the teams holding them to a draw (and needing PK's to salvage a point). I hope the big teams rip them a new one in the CL.
Its a very odd scheduling quirk that LPB have 6 away matches in-a-row. Not sure if that was done intentionally (something going on in the Bernabeu) or if it just the way the chips fell because of the makeup date for the Super Cup happening this week. But its good that Barca were able to take advantage of it.
I was a bit surprised that the slight contact on Rodrygo wasn't called a PK though. I mean, it would have been ridiculous, but not unusual if that was called. Shame Girona missed that clear chance around the 60th minute to make it 2-0. But I guess, LPB had a great chance to win it in stoppage time too, so I'll take the draw.
Sure. But their supporters, their players, their TV channel, all of them cry and b!tch about so much. Even though they've got the cash to buy whomever they want, they've got plenty of success, and yet, they still cry like b!tches. And so, its delicious schadenfreude to watch them b!tch. Again. As usual.
Yep. Especially since it’s the “broke, spineless, and classless” club that they have such an inferiority complex about. The club fielding talentless academy kids as opposed to their mighty galacticos. They’ll always be looking at our backs, consummate losers.
