Good result for Rayo, winning first leg of their Conference league quarterfinal 3-0 at home against AEK Athens - the best team in Greece this season.

It increases Spain's lead over Germany in the UEFA coefficient table to more than a full point, with Portugal slightly further back (no other country with a real shot at winning that extra CL spot).

Germany pulled to within 0.6 points with the wins by Freiburg and Mainz later this evening, so still not quite a done deal (but almost - given Spain is guaranteed at least 1 CL semifinal team).

LPB sh!t their pants, and drop points to Girona!

This means that more "DeR, CoRrUpTiOn" posts on their xwitter and other media outlets.

This also means a win tomorrow can put La Liga firmly at hand for Barça.

Flick can afford to do some pretty heavy rotation for the Espanyol match now. Not ideal to put a weakened side out in a derby, but in terms of the big picture, what's the worst that can happen? A 6-point lead in La Liga with 7 rounds to play. I'd still like our odds.

    This.

I'd like Yamal, Olmo, and Cancelo to grab some bench. I'd like Frenkie to get 10-15 minutes, Balde to get 45-60 minutes, and Roony to get a good 60+ minutes.

I'd also like to see one or both of the #9s to bag a goal, to boost their confidence going into the UCL.

Yep. Screw the game against Espanyol. Madrid has given us the benefit of resting players tomorrow.

Arsenal down a goal with just over 10 mins to go. Surely they can't cough up the title ....

If City win every game going forward they are champions. They only depend on themselves

This level of bottle would be unprecedented

I think they could still be tied on points . In the EPL tiebreaker is goal difference . Arsenal currently still has a better GD. But not by much … 6

This additional pressure on ARSEnal could prove useful to whoever they face next in UCL.

A man down on the field, we get the ball on defense .... why don't we play the ball out of bound right away when gaining it back ?

EPL title race pretty much 50/50 at this point.

Pep may be a bang average manager in CL, but this would, I think, be 13 for 17 in league titles. Surely the GOAT league manager.

I'm a bit surprised they didn't look much better in their first game under De Zerbi.

I think next match is make or break for Spurs' survival.

Great weekend for the bottom teams of la liga. The bottom 6 has 5 wins and a draw.

Ok, maybe not a "great" as they didn't improve their position much.

    Neuer with another miscalculation.

Never should have been a free kick in the first place. Pure dive from Brahim Diaz

    Great composure by Kane. 2-2

We finally have a goal where the goalkeeper wasn't helping with the finish.
