One year, my kid played club for a Brazilian coach, then along with several club teammates did ODP under an English-style disciple. With one exception -- a fully grown 13 year old who was also good on the ball, and thus impossible to dislike -- the players whom the first coach favored, the second guy didn't, and vice versa. It was like playing a different sport.
