While Albion still mathematically speaking are not yet officially relegated with nine games left, I think most WBA fans feel we will be watching Division 1 football next year. Despite the disappointment this season has been, I do think that this season. I know for many Albion fans, the chance to see their team challenege some of the best footballers in England both at The Hawthorns and away at places like Highbury, St. James' Park were memorable moments in themselves. As a Baggie abroad, I have only been able to watch the matches Sky has provided its US counterpart, Fox Sports World. And given Albion's poor EPL record on TV, I have not watched a single WBA win this season. But the season was not completely bleak. I think for me, the brilliant goal Jason Koumas had in the opening minutes against ManUre at The Hawthorns (in which the Albion crowd was only allowed a minute to celebrate prior to the equaliser) will be the moment that I will treasure from the 2002-03 season. For those few seconds, Albion fans believed that anything was possible. What other moments stand out from this season for the Albion?
I've only made it to four away games this season, picking Manchester City was the highlight for me. Leading Arsenal for 45 mins and almost getting the winner with 3 mins to go was pretty good too. Unfortunately, there has been many many more lows. Losing to injury time goals at both brummie clubs was among the worst.
