"Numbers don't lie," someone said. Goals allowed by keepers in the All-Star game: 0 - Scurry 1 - Luckenbill 3 - Beene 3 - Moore Tiebreaker goes to Beene since one of the goals on her was a 2-on-GK following a total defensive breakdown; also there's Moore's assist attempt to Abby Wambach. Was that just her way of saying "no hard feelings" or did someone give her a faked roster list? Oh, and I'll put some smilies here since that excuses all trash-talking.
Hey, s*it happens. Beene didn't bring her 'A' game, either. Luckenbill did. The one place where the South had it over the North was the midfield, and they exploited that fully today. Now if the game were in mid-season, like the other four major sports, maybe we'd be talking a different outcome; or maybe not. There wasn't exactly a bountiful harvest of midfield reserves Coach K could call on when it came time to pick them. Tullock, Smith, Monroe (injured); Lihong (Asian Games); Janss (who should have been picked, but wasn't). Paul
Re: Re: Melissa Moore sucks [R] Actually, if you're counting (American) football, that all-star game is at the end of the season, too.
So Paul... Because of Moore's abysmal performance today I guess she pretty much screwed herself out of a chance to be on the USWNT huh?
Re: Re: Melissa Moore sucks [R] Lucky sucks too. She didnt bring sh!t. she got lucky as hell in the first half because the south was doing all the threatening. Melissa Moore sucks! Without that touted Philly D in front of her you could plainly how much she sucks. Bad goalkeeping should not be blamed on the midfield. Tisha was doing some schooling before she went out. Melissa Moore sucks and April saw this game and said "Uh Uh girlfriend".
"Dear North backline, This is not Scotland. You cannot get away with playing like this." Although it's not as if Moore helped her cause any. I was especially amused when she nearly assisted on a Wambach goal--although, as a fan of the North, not amused in a good way. This is basically what I imagine it would look like if she got a chance at the Nats. If she ever does get called up, she wouldn't be #1 for the USWNT as soon as she stepped on the field. For her to break into the top 2-3, that would take time and experience with the players at that level of play. She's probably got what it takes to do so, but, unfortunately for her, when the US is stacked with keepers (not to mention keepers who are younger than she) it may not be worth the time to develop her.
TOTAL SHOTS: 11 (2 tied with 3); SHOTS ON GOAL: 8 (Pichon 3); FOULS: 0 (none); OFFSIDE: 3; CORNER KICKS: 4; SAVES: Moore 1 Beene 3; CAUTIONS: None; EJECTIONS: None.
LOL, YOMITTS....you're name looks a lot like vomits when someone is just glancing at it. Melissa Moore had the better forwards coming at her the whole game, but that still doesn't make me think she has a chance at the national team.
