http://www.tmz.com/2014/10/23/mama-june-boyfriend-dating-mark-mcdaniel-molested-child/ "TLC is not currently in production on HERE COMES HONEY BOO BOO. We are very concerned about this new information and are reassessing the future of the series."
I don't watch the show, but it seems like the mother dating a child molester would fit right into the "let's make fun of the rednecks" narrative. What's the problem?
...and re-assessing the future of that particular show with a mind toward cancelling it sounds like a win for the media.
That they will not be able to show a disclaimer "No rednecks were harmed when filming the show" Puzzlingly, I was googling the correct wording for the disclaimer and found this:
Political correctness, to revive a hoary but still-useful term. It would have been fine if he were a murderer. But since he is a child molester, people feel the need to climb over themselves proving that they hate child molestation more than the next person. No forgiveness is allowed, unlike with murderers -- because those who forgive child molesters must be secret molesters themselves. Or something. Not sure what I will do now without my fix of Honey June.
Well, I've never seen this before... Correction: The Loretta Lynch identified earlier as the Whitewater attorney was, in fact, a different attorney. Now, granted, that makes a complete hash of the article, but I've never seen that website issue a correction
The original article is still up. With a tiny correction at the bottom. Not exactly journalism at its finest. The American Thinker also has "corrected" the article but the original is still up.
I haven't seen The American Thinker in awhile. Damn shame truth in labeling laws don't apply to magazines or websites.
It's a symptom of the internet age. Find something that confirms your world view and run with it. After all, if you are not interested in being an actual news source but manipulateing your audience this is what we end up with.
I've been listening to NPR this morning and they reported that NY Assembly speaker Sheldon Silver was arrested. (culture of corruption?) They introduced the story a couple of times with out mentioning his party affiliation. I did not hear all of the actual report, but the part I did hear made no mention of it either. The 20-30 minute Brian Lehrer show story on Silver made no mention of his party.
I can't find anything about it on NPR's website, and I didn't hear anything about it this morning or yesterday during Morning Edition. Furthermore, I have no idea who Brian Lehrer is, so when I look him up, it turns out he has a show on one of NYC's public stations that does not appear to be dyndicated outside New York City. This leads me to conclude that it wasn't an NPR report that you're talking about, but rather a locally produced segment that did not air nationally. If that is the case, then NPR isn't responsible for misrepresenting the story. Edit: i was right. http://www.wnyc.org/story/assembly-speaker-sheldon-silver-arrested/ And you appear to be wrong... As speaker of the Democrat-controlled Assembly, Silver is one of the most influential people in New York state government. Along with the Senate majority leader and the governor, he plays a major role in creating state budgets, laws and policies in a system long-criticized in Albany as "three men in a room."
You appear to have quoted the written story. I was referring to the radio broadcast this morning. You get an A for effort.
On Wednesday's Nightly News, Williams admitted, "I made a mistake in recalling the events of 12 years ago." http://www.nbcnews.com/nightly-news...larification-about-2003-iraq-incident-n300461 This is funny.. mistake? Would not the word 'lie' be more closer to the truth? Its gonna be even funnier once Hillary Clinton decides to run for President and they remind her when she was ducking sniper fire.

Someone has already updated his wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tommy_Lawrence Much of the wiki entry appears lifted from this article: http://www.thisisanfield.com/2007/10/forgotten-hero-tommy-lawrence-sweeper-keeper/ Sign of the times that, after 14 years with Liverpool, including 8 as its top keeper, and 3 more with Tranmere Rovers, he wound up working back in the same factory, where he'd been as a lad.
As I said before, that is actually not that bad. In Mexico there are 2 TV networks, not sure how many Newspaper/Radio companies. I would bet (and perhaps lose the bet) that we may have bigger diversity than world averge.

In 2012, 2013 and 2014, Stephanopoulos made $25,000 donations to the 501 nonprofit founded by former President Bill Clinton, the foundation's records show. Stephanopoulos never disclosed this information to viewers, even when interviewing author Peter Schweizer last month about his book "Clinton Cash," which alleges that donations to the foundation may have influenced some of Hillary Clinton's actions as secretary of state. In a statement to the On Media blog on Thursday, Stephanopoulos apologized and said that he should have disclosed the donations to ABC News and its viewers. "I made charitable donations to the Foundation in support of the work they’re doing on global AIDS prevention and deforestation, causes I care about deeply," he said. "I thought that my contributions were a matter of public record. However, in hindsight, I should have taken the extra step of personally disclosing my donations to my employer and to the viewers on air during the recent news stories about the Foundation. I apologize." In its own statement on Thursday, ABC News said it was standing behind its star anchor. "As George has said, he made charitable donations to the Foundation to support a cause he cares about deeply and believed his contributions were a matter of public record," the network's statement read. "He should have taken the extra step to notify us and our viewers during the recent news reports about the Foundation. He’s admitted to an honest mistake and apologized for that omission. We stand behind him." http://www.politico.com/blogs/media...discloses-contribution-to-clinton-207120.html You've been a bad boy Goeorge. Naughty, naughty. Now run along and get back to your interviews of GOP presidential candidates.
