Good bye.....You are past your sell by date years ago.... Andrea Mitchell announces that she is stepping away from her daily show on MSNBC after 16 years.Good riddance.I can't stand her. pic.twitter.com/aJlrBbGeAB— Art Candee 🍿🥤 (@ArtCandee) October 29, 2024
Holy smoke..... 'David Folkenflik @davidfolkenflik UPDATE: The number of cancellations since Friday' S revelation now exceeds 250,000, NPR can report. That represents approximately 10 percent of all paid circulation.
He probably outgrew him. I've listened to him quite a bit before he went to spotify. His interviews with comics were generally pretty good. And any time he went toward political or cultural topics, not so much.
When you are applying for Grammarfuhrer: What is laughable about it. He follows it up with referring to the singular "his" and not the plural "theirs" which would be required to support your interpretation. Meanwhile, Trump has referred to everyone who disagrees with him as the "enemy within" and has threatened to use…— Machine Pun Kelly 🇺🇦 (@KellyScaletta) October 30, 2024
Breaking the rules again but this is a good Josh Marshall tweet. I've said before that a lot of political reporters want to be covering awards shows and sports. A great deal of center-left/Dem disgust/impatience with elite political journalism, which is being vented on the Post in reaction to the Bezos issue but is much broader, is about journalists who in various ways see their job, often giddily, as score keeping how effective… https://t.co/YmqbzVM1DY— Josh Marshall (@joshtpm) October 30, 2024
Again, this is why my wife and I never listen to the New York Times podcast, The Daily, when it comes on the radio during dinner IF it's covering electoral politics, even though we will listen to Marketplace before it. That said, last night's episode with David Leonhart, which concludes tonight on the history of immigration policies since the 1960s, is, so far, pretty damn good.
If Harris wins, we need to either create a new thread or redirect the purpose of this one. The MSM is completely irredeemable at this moment. They’re not a problem to be solved, they’re an obstacle to be overcome, while also an obstacle that needs to be destroyed. By “destroy” I do NOT mean the institutions as institutions, but as they are. So if Politico writes “regardless of what she meant” about some errant Harris remark, Dems need to attack Politico, not play their spin game. If TFNYT is being a baby about interviews, the White House press office should give a pacifier to their beat reporter. If Politico and TFNYT want to do responsible journalism, then invite them back in. Until then, ******** ‘em.
4 politicos rating for malpractice: few times do you see the Axios/Politico-ism boiled down to its pure essence quite so clearly https://t.co/YmqbzVM1DY— Josh Marshall (@joshtpm) October 30, 2024
I have had it with the MSM..... Lincolnproject.us 2h 2 hours ago “It’s the people that surround her, they’re scum and they want to take down our country. They are absolute garbage.” - Donald Trump, 9/7/24 https://www.threads.net/@lincolnpro...QGzDxd2InPuX_SQN7gnxRK0F6DlHGbtdD-RiquyfLRFDQ
Their defense is that Trump was talking about her close advisers, not her voters. Of course, Biden’s comment was clearly about Kill Tony; otherwise the whole thing makes no sense.
Not really a media failure. But it's still sad to see the dead tree editions go the way of the dinosaur https://www.nj.com/news/2024/10/sta...-and-closing-production-facility-in-2025.html
Not a media failure because they're forced to air them. But I saw some insane Randall Terry anti Democrat ad with trans and gay men "grooming" kids, actual dead fetuses and some black preacher saying Democrats keep AAs down. Completely nuts If you're wondering why Fox aired that graphic Randall Terry ad right before the World Series, broadcast networks are required to run unedited ads from political candidateshttps://t.co/cwiJ9miR7G— Awful Announcing (@awfulannouncing) October 29, 2024
Kind of pampered, aren’t they? This is actually more outlandish:"...the paper has been alarmed that the union has continued to push for a provision on journalistic integrity that would allow the non-editorial union to have a say in editorial decisions, including the right to request letters to the editor not…— Sandy Lyle (@realsanfordlyle) November 4, 2024
An interesting perspective on the media's failures and limitations in covering disasters, from a guy who usually dissects movies. One of the things I realized watching this is that the way the media covers disasters (specifically Hurricane Helene) allowed for disinformation and lies to take hold.
MSNBC hosts Joe and Mika meet Trump at Mar-a-Lago to find common ground. How can they do this with a straight face ? You can't ask your viewer to believe the guy is Hitler / Fascist and then try to pivot away from it. Why would anyone still watch them ? NEWOn MSNBC, @morningmika and @JoeNBC say that they went to Mar-a-Lago this weekend and met with President-elect Trump for the first time in seven years. Mika says that despite “profound disagreements,” they agreed with Trump to restart communications. pic.twitter.com/7rZwQkleWJ— Yashar Ali 🐘 (@yashar) November 18, 2024
Nah… they are simply deplorable, shameless hacks. They went to kiss the ring. ******** them…They have always been a couple of frauds. I have not watched tv since the elections and one thing I know, you will not catch me dead watching morning Joe.
Joe Scarborough has always sucked. His show was only good for background noise if you were getting ready to leave for work or if you couldn't sleep.
