So Europe next season is guaranteed now. If we dont get a massive favour from Venezia, still important to get the victory here so we ensure EL and not the bloody Conference League. Venezia have to win their game. This might not be a bad thing necessarily. Clear objective at least. I think a look at some recent results gives some cause for hope..... Venezia 0-0 Napoli Venezia 0-0 Lazio Venezia 2-1 Fiorentina They also lost by only a single goal at home against us, Inter and Bologna. So, perhaps our chances are better than we might think. Beat Torino and see.
Venezia are still fighting relegation so have to win. Everyone double their San Mapou's this week & hope Eusebio can deliver CL football to Roma once again.
One more time. (3-5-2): Svilar; Celik, Mancini (C), N'Dicka; Soulé, Cristante, Paredes, Koné, Angeliño; Saelemaekers, Shomurodov Ranieri will be missed.
Dream start.....damn shame they couldn't hold it. Anyway I have a half eye on the scoreline only.....hoping more than expecting. What happens there happens.....just want to see us get comfortable in this match and make it 2-0 in case Venezia do get back in it....
Close....but no cigar. Grazie Claudio for rescuing an otherwise shambolic season and almost achieving a remarkable feat of top 4.
I mean, we all know that a deep EL run will hurt our chances of a top 4 finish in the league again. But the competition there next season will be as weak as never before.
The bespoke Roma fan experience at the end of each season. I'm less disappointed of missing out on CL as this was almost a given, than qualifying for those stupid energy-tapping participation European cups. It'd be a repeat next year - getting tired from playing with the Bode Glints, and missing out on CL yet again. Rinse & repeat, rinse & repeat. We're too stupid to play smart, too unlucky to get a break and get eliminated early enough to matter.
