We have an advantage in that they have the champions league on Wednesday. It will be interesting to see how they balance that so expect players like Ilicic or Gomez to not play the whole game or even any of it at all depending on their condition. I can see an entertaining draw, (1-1,2-2) or a 2-1 win for us.

have a feeling we will find a lot more balance with Mancini in midfield, hope Fazio is up to it though

At least with Mancini in midfield he will block that pass out of our exposed right flank that keeps piercing us. He won't keep tempo well, but at least that defensive work can help keep the ball in the other team's half.

If it’s bad enough I could see this being Fonseca’s last game. I doubt Jim is going to sit back like he did last season when EDF was spiraling.

Hopefully Atalanta rest players for Champions

It would be a terrible mistake to let go of Fonseca with the injuries and mess that Monchi left us with. I believe he is a good coach and won't be figured out as easily as Garcia was.

What dafuq does he care? He's selling up imminently by all accounts.

Because I’m sure he gets a better deal selling a team that’s in CL, than one playing in Kazakhstan on Thursday nights.

No chance of this happening. He currently has little to no public pressure, he won’t get fired out of the blue.

He could be under pressure after this game but absolutely no way he gets fired right away.

If we get dumpstered by Atalanta I see our future being very bald. If its a narrow loss, maybe he sees another day.

But I think the ownership will be stepping in a lot sooner this season to avoid what happened last year. As soon as 4th place is slipping I would be shocked if they don’t make a change.

Everything points to the management backing the coach, he has done a good job with what he was given. This squad was always a couple of injuries away from falling apart. Maybe Friedkin shakes it all up to show he’s in charge but I wouldn’t bank on the takeover being completed within the next 2 weeks. If the results keep being bad of course he will feel the pressure, but right now he is fine. It is a little much to assume Atalanta will “dumpster” us.

Again, by all accounts he is very close to selling up and so is hardly going to sack a coach as he's walking out the door himself. That's a matter for the new, imminent, owners.

I’m not that cuck. But I could easily see us lose 3-0 to Atalanta. We’ve beaten them once since 2015.
