There's nothing wrong with finding the humor in a bad situation, especially when Roma is in its usual self-destruct mode. If it really bothers you that much it's because it's too close to truth for comfort. We are barely 4 points ahead of the relegation zone after half a season. Let. That. Sink. In.
To be honest, not been relegated will be considered a huge success this season. Some of you are so up the American arses, you can't tell the difference between an orange and apple. Piss heads.
It’s December and Roma have only just won their 4th game of the season against a Serie B side. You can only laugh at this point.
For some people it's business as usual, they/re calling expecting a team with a top 4 salary to get in the top 4 once every decade expecting too much from the team, but when we get closer to bottom 4 it's just drama.
I don't have much hope for this season. We're already 11 points behind conference league, and honestly I'd rather not play in Europe at all then play conference league. The smallest hope would be an EL win this season, but obviously those chances are slim as well. I'd assume that Dybala will want to play CL next year, and will be gone this summer. I'm totally fine with this, because it would give Baldanzi the starting spot and give Soule more time. I can't imagine Celik, Cristante, Pellegrini and a few of the others are still here next season. Getting the chance to actually reset, have a lower salary bill, and one competition might be the change we need. Oh, and a proper coach wouldn't be bad either.
I made a comment like this recently, my only gripe with crashing out of the EL or accepting mediocrity this season may make it hard to sell said players. Dybala has already left back in August, his contract as well as those of Cristante, Pellegrini and Celik might be hard to shift. I wonder which party doesn't want Dybala's contract automatically renew more?
