We bounced back strong after losing to Meelan.....lets hope we can do the same after losing to Nipoli.

My god what an abysmal half of football. Barely watchable....and Cagliari clearly the better side. Several changes needed.

We've been playing with only 10 men the whole game anyway.

Not been watching but seen a clip of it. Was it not clear and obvious last man?

That looked like a pk to me!

He totally pushed him down in the box.

Weather the Cagliari player embellished or not, is another story.

Cagliari goal from Gaetano in the 81st minute.

    You could see it coming.

Absolute horseshit. Ghilardi has been a disaster since coming on

    Lucky you.

Abysmal performance from minute one. Cagliari's first win in months. Go figure.

Como will batter us at this rate.

As I said 5th place is our ceiling and we will be lucky to finish that high.

It's just pathetic we can be that bad. Nevermind the Milan, Napoli and Inter games......this game tells you exactly where we at.

Im glad I didnt watch this. I have seen a few games from Cagliari this season and while results have not went their way they have looked decent. Im not surprised given the last performance from Roma and this always being a tough slog of a game away to them. Im not even sure a big striker alone fixes the issues. There just once again doesnt seem to be enough attacking substance from the centre. We have been spoiled with Dybala but hes not going to cover up the cracks anymore.

Wasted the first half with Baldanzi as the #9. Then Celik gets the red. A point would have been generous.

The two or three good games Dovbyk had before his injury showed that it's a lot better with a striker who's doing his part in build-up. In the long run we need a left winger/CAM too but a striker would be the one piece that could be enough for getting a CL spot this season. Considering that Juve isn't really getting results either. And don't forget that we've played without our starting LB for two months now, a core position in Gasperini's system. Wesley was missing too yesterday. Having a back-in-form Angelino on the left and Wesley on the right (+ Celik as an option at CB where he performed so much better than on the wing) would also help a lot. The truth is that under these circumstances our season could already be over but the performances of Svilar and Ndicka won us a lot of points we didn't really deserve and things can still take a turn to the better with a good January window. Then again, it could also go downhill as soon as Ndicka leaves for the Africa Cup.

It was a bad starting XI and after that 1st half showing inexplicable that no changes were made at half-time. Tsimikas was meh again but actually was having a somewhat decent 2nd half. Taking him off for Ghilardi was a horrible call and hurt us badly. That's all on Gasp.

Regardless of the above, 2 shots on goal and an XG of 0.36 vs Cagliari is a disgusting effort.

Angelino has been a bad loss.....just when Dovbyk looked like he was finding some form he gets injured. Ferguson cant get properly fit. Dybala is operating at about 20%. Gasp refuses to play/rotate in Pisilli and Rensch for some reason. None of these things help.

We can thank Svilar for being as high as we are and in truth he is probably our only genuinely good player in terms of consistent quality.

Sadly we look to be falling back on the same old Roma script we've become used to. Best figure it out quick because in this form Como will beat us and we wont be beating a beatable Juventus either.

Yes I wasnt expecting much seeing the lineup from the wings. The full squad is nearly flexible enough to play multiple systems but usually we see them missing a few players with injury etc and then what you have is no system that is truely working as Gasperini would like it. The false 9 yesterday could have worked great with Wesley and Angelino attacking offering variety from wide but not so with defensive players.. So its hard to write that off compelety as a working alternative going ahead. There just was not enough chances being created, ball being moved in a way that would get Baldanzi into it. With enough movement around him Dybala could still star there when fit, but in this system, Pellegrini would not fit either imo as hes not mobile enough. If we were to make something best work with what we have right now, SES and Soule would still be a more fluid fit for movement and link up play.

I like Fergusons hold up and link play but hes still very young and if theres not a flow of chances coming from build up, hes not going to be able to show case enough. At 20 he is perfect as a back up to a striker who is in his prime and one that suits Gasperini.

Ranieri's more straight forward style was able to get the best out of the talent available. Gasperini is trying to bridge a gap between from this to what he wants so its not surprising to see struggles. He is going to need trust and depending on finances and buying direction, a couple of windows to really take shape. I think it could be fixed sooner if they were to adopt his Atalanta approach and go take a risk on the players identifed in smaller leagues hungry for their chance.

He is going to need some new midfielders and shed some old ones. The old cliche, "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results" applies here.

Pellegrini has been on the books since 2017... f-ing 2017!
Cristante has been on the books since 2018... f-ing 2018!

These 2 have been given way too much time and leeway in this club and it's ridiculous. The midfield is the engine room of a team. They're the two constants in this time period of mediocrity to outright shit.

Imagine, these 2 are the senators. Used to be names like Totti and DDR were the senators. Quite frankly it's embarrassing and gone on long enough.

You still have moron fans trying to point out the odd decent performance out of one these clowns as a sign they have "turned the corner". We're going on 8-9 years and people are still holding out hope? F%&king battered wife syndrome if there ever was an example of it.

Time to move the f@#k on. Until that happens it doesn't matter who the manager is. They will never be able to implement their ideas saddled with this deadweight.

Please, for the love of God, part ways with these 2 ASAP. Even if it results in more bad for a time as you try and find new pieces, at least it shows the club is trying and showing some ambition.

Cue @Nainggolan the cuck to tag me into another picture of the lucky sperm with his latest beard or his daddy larping Top Gun again. That should make it better.
