    As of right now:

A new midfielder might arrive and take Cristante’s spot, but this is pretty much it.

I don't like the idea of Cristante being a starter.. hopefully we can get a new midfielder before the transfer window closes.

Fiorentina are a mess and there's no reason not to have a strong start here. Vlahovic is also being courted by big money so I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't play.

So, Zaniolo, Abraham, and a new keeper are added to the mix. Looking forward to this.

One of the most exciting Roma line ups in recent memories, specially with JM on the side lines

Adding Tammy and Shomurodov makes our attack look very promising. Plus Zaniolo (fingers crossed he stays fit) is added to the equation. Shomurodov looks very good, hard worker, fast, strong, solid with the ball. We have a very good depth now in the attack. Mikhi, Perez and El Sharavi also there. We tend to forget Mikhi was our best player last season, he must have his place in the team, if it means putting Pellegerinu on the bench.
El Sharavi seems to be extra, I hope he finds his form.

Defensively, we also seem very good bar the right back situation. Reynolds is inexperienced and can’t be relied on. We all praise Karsdorp here like he is our most standard player. Yeah, he had a good season, and looks like he found himself, but I am still not convinced. Left flank looks similar, I just hope Vina proves to be first team material, at least until Spina comes back. CBs are okay. Ibanez must be a starter.

Midfield is not good enough. Veretout is good, but other are just meh. Cristante not good enough, Diawara can be phenomenal but he has a knack for some brainfarts occasionally. I hope he pulls himself together.

The only question mark around him is if he can keep up the good performances in a 4 man defense. It would've been foolish to bring in a new RB.

Not saying we should bring someone, I just don't trust him. But I would give him one more year to prove me wrong ofc, he had a good season last year.

So your concern is that last year was a fluke? Or his defensive work?

Both of them. He has certain qualities, but he needs special setup to display those qualities. 3-5-2 was a perfect setup for him. Now with 2 CB's, I am not sure he will be as good.

How come Zaniolo didn't go to Euros. Is he not living up to his promise?

Milhouse has improved enough that I'll henceforth refer to him as Miltante. Pending further (unlikely) improvement.

Ibanez had a solid game against Trab. Hopefully Mou can turn him into a proper defender.

    I can't believe Pellegrini is still our captain.....I just....I mean....meh.

    Enough random thoughts.....21/22 lets go.

I strongly believe Mourinho will turn Cristante into another Pirlo. Remember how Pirlo was such a loser before Inter swapped him for Guly from Milan :D

He has dug in and shown his worth though despite all the crap. Most would have quit if they were brought in as AM and then never got a chance. He is a leader within the group. The other day he was spreading great balls wide with pace and accuracy. What he struggles with is quick play when surrounded by players in centre mid but that build up play wont be the same under Jose. I think he;ll do an ok job in this role.
