McPhail played a full game for Leeds in the UEFA Cup last night...does anyone know how he played-at least he seems to be getting chances for first tewm football now-can only increase Ireland's options in central midfield.

I think himself and Healy will make a quality combination eventually.

he seemed to do ok however he must be dissappointed with his overall performance considering it was his big chance to shine. he's getting mixed reviews from the leeds fans on their rivals site.

leeds didn't play well as a team against 'lesser' opposition. without dacourt in the middle they looked decidedly light. if mcphails role is as a playmaker then he's still too young, inexperienced and light to be pulling the strings in a must-win match.

having said that, if he and healy continue to progress i think when they're around 25-27 it could be a special midfield pairing

FWIW, Colin Healy also started for Celtic in their UEFA cup game. But it was meaningless because they had a 8-0 lead from the first leg.

McPhail played pretty well. Alan Smith was the outstanding player, but McPhail was probably the best of the rest, although not by much. He didn't impose himself on the game quite as well as he could have.

    Anyone know how Healy did?
