McPhail, Healy, Dunne, Connolly to Sunderland?!

Babbsy and Triggs have been told they will be released on a free this summer. McPhail would be an awful signing, Healy would be a brilliant signing, Dunne could go either way depending on how thirsty he gets mid season and Connolly will do well in the first division but if they got promoted would possibley struggle.

 

Having watched the Celtic midfield's abysmal performance last night against Boavista, I wonder yet again how good Healy can be to fail to even make the bench at Parkhead this season.

I know he's had his disputes with O'Neill, but last night Lennon and Lambert gave another masterclass in how to pass the ball 5 yards backwards.

If he can't dislodge those two, whatever his contract situation, I fear he may be another over-hyped Irish great white hope.

 

Boavista Celtic

that has to be one of the worst games I've seen since any of Germany's world cup matches. It was funny though watching how the Portugese spent the game fouling, diving and time wasting but once the goal went in they were running around at 100mph! Celtic may be poor, but teams like that deserve to go out.

There wasn't too much wrong with Germany's game against Ireland - most people think Ireland won that one.

 

I heaerd that Babb, Myhre and Thome were being released - are you sure about McAteer? It seems a bit strange, considering that he's generally been one of their better players since he arrived.

 

I rate healy over lennon but lambert is untouchable

To be honest hes a solid midfielder but his passing is abysmal more often than not, lennon does only think passes back to the keeper are allowed but at least they are accurate, if i was picking the team id play him more but sadly I dont, thats how John hartson still gets a game!

 

The difference between Healy and the other great white hopes is Healys reputation is based soley on his brilliant preformances for Ireland, where as McPhail and co got it through brilliant youth careers.
