I'm not sure what his heat map was for today but he seemed to be playing even more box to box than usual, higher up and further back on both ends. It was just a boring game with two fatigued teams playing a game some of them probably thought should have been turned into a single leg neutral site.

Normally, I'm ok with the the two legged semi-final but when you have most teams playing every 3-4 days for almost 5 months...single leg knockout should be used during COVID, no question.

Probably doesn't even have to be at a neutral site.

In the NFL this year, with limited fans, there was one tie. In aaaaaaall the other games, the visitors actually won 1 game more than the home teams.

IOW, without fans, and without travel fatigue, where a game is played is probably meaningless.

After watching the other YAs so far today, I'm hoping Wes comes into it in full beast mode.

Word. Wes is the great American hope these days, and is must-watch viewing for yank abroad fans. This should be a great match

Holy shit CR7, what a finish. Weston not really involved in the goal. He's had a few touches, nothing much bad or good either way.

Play started with a poor cross-field pass intercepted by Alex Sandro - McKennie had been way across the field in the attack and Roma was trying to take advantage. Brilliant by play Sandro, Wes mostly chased the play not really open for a pass at any point, Morata simple assist in tight space, Ronaldo great shot placement.

Best he’s looked while I was watching in at least a couple of months.

Weston doing more defensive work today - getting some praise from the commentators.

Juventus need more possession. But all that D hasn’t stopped Wes from sneaking into bonus center forward position when they have the ball.

Man Rabiot had wes wide open on the left for what would have been a dangerous run, plays it to the right.

Pitch starting to get quite slick, to say the least.

Pouring rain, you can see the ball visibly slowing now on ground passes. The British color guy is crazy, no reason for Juve to throw numbers forward or take risks in these conditions.

He's been playing a ton of minutes in very competitive games and with the second game vs Inter on Tuesday it makes perfect sense to take him off now

Not sure I would sub off Weston when you are protecting a 1-0 lead, but I do think Wes needs some rest, so I’m ok with it.

Quiet game from Wes. Seems more effective when he plays on the right.
