These were some of the comments that Radzinski made after the Southampton game .... "It's nice not to be changed so much, it's nice me, Kevin Campbell and Wayne can work up front so well. From the moment they both came on we did look good." http://www.soccer365.com/EUROPEAN_NEWS/Premiership/page_99_47029.shtml What do they mean? Do they mean that with McBride in the game they weren't quite meshing well? Is he discounting McBride because he'll be leaving soon? Any thoughts?
i find it interesting b/c mcbride and radz were clicking quite well for 4 or 5 games in a row and were playing really well up top, but then again i think it is just himing saying that once wayne and kevin came in they scored two goals. they have numerous chances throughout the game <w/mcbride & w/o him> and if not for the goalkeeping of southampton's keeper then i think you would have seen a beating put upon southampton much earlier in the game.
It means Radz knows he has a better chance of being the scoring leader for Everton if McBride doesn't play. Canadian fear - that's all it is.
Not even worth a chuckle. Radzinski is not exactly living in fear of McBride. The Rat was sensational yesterday.
well if McBride was there since the begining you better believe Radinski would be living in fear... i mean really goals per game isn't even close
I think this quote puts it in perspective from: http://www.ctnow.com/sports/hc-socf...eadlines-sports "Brian has been a real factor since he got here and they really marshaled their defense to contain him," said Everton boss David Moyes after Tomasz Radzinski scored two goals, the game-winner an absolute cracker. "We felt that we had to change some things because of how they were [double-teaming] McBride." -Moyes
The attack was becoming pretty predictable and Moyes needed to change the look. Also, Radz was not effective out left. He got loose, but didn't exactly put in stellar crosses and he muffed his one great opportunity from that position. Having a more diversified attack (ie, Rooney was on the field creating an amazing amount of havoc and scintillating play), and leaving Radz more often in the middle and on the right put him in a better scoring position and in a position where he was more comfortable. So'ton defense was worn out by the end. I expect to see Rooney in his first start next weekend with both McBride and Radz. It's a good time for Moyes to see what Wayne's World for 90 minutes will look like. If they play well, they should be able to control Boro.
