if all goes as planned...his first match will be televised... sunday, january 12th - 2:00pm est fox sports world - spurs vs everton keep an eye out...
I wonder if he'll see any time at all in that match. he will have just been their for a few days at that point. Regardless I'll have the vcr set.
Everton does have free live audio, and it's pretty clear. I listened to the Birmingham match when Kirovski scored. Actually, come to think of it, Tottenham has live audio as well Everton Audio: http://www.evertonfc.tv/match/live/index.asp Tottenham Audio: http://www.spurs.co.uk/match/commentary.asp
He'll be there training with the team tomorrow. He'll have almost 9 days before kickoff to get used to the team. I can't imagine them bringing him in for a total of nie matches just to have him miss one of them.
Re: ???? As all ready pointed out, McBride didn't come back from his last loan spell with perfect health. Something about a pesky little blood clot. Injuries happen where ever. Your comment could easily have read, "These national team call-ups can be a little chancy...remember the curse of Clint Mathis [or Chris Armas]."
On the "chancy" issue, for DC United the injury to Ben Olsen was worse than just losing Ben for the better part of two years. He's a relatively high-paid player and counted against the salary cap all of that time. The Crew's exposure on this would depend on how much time is left on McBride's MLS contract.
