Re: McBride: Fulham V. Charlton [R] We have to assume that Spector will be in at right back for Charlton. It's a YANKTACULAR! Wish it were on FSC.
Re: McBride: Fulham V. Charlton [R] Boca won't be in the squad http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/football_news_latest_7296.html
Re: McBride: Fulham V. Charlton [R] Charlton official pre-view: http://www.cafc.co.uk/newsview.ink?nid=23812 No mention on JS.
Re: McBride: Fulham V. Charlton [R] I like that word.. Yanktacular.. Only ever seen it before in February when the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue came out.. It's been a long time since Fulham have been on FSC, it seems.. Hope we get to see McBride at least once again this year in England!!
Re: McBride: Fulham V. Charlton [R] At one point, we were on TV either live or tape delay for about 8 weeks in a row. Then they started going with non-yank matches...bastards. Although this match as 'draw' written all over it, I believe Fulham will pull this out.
Re: McBride: Fulham V. Charlton [R] Yeah-- I remember watching the match against Pool (I believe) where McHead got his brace. Quality TV there. Probab a 0-0 draw today. Charlton only score anymore in matches that they loose.
Re: McBride: Fulham V. Charlton [R] We should at least get one McGoal as it would be justice after last week!! What about Elliot? Still injured? What was the injury anyway?
Re: McBride: Fulham V. Charlton [R] I was at the Sunderland match and I have never seen anything like that before in my life. The day started off sunny and mild!! Elliot started the match vs. Sunderland thus I expect him to start again today. Especially since Michael Brown is suspended.
Re: McBride: Fulham V. Charlton [R] That's really common in places like Salt Lake City.. Many times when I lived there it might be, perhaps, 55F or more at noon because the low pressure zone coming from the north would be sucking warm air from the south deserts of Utah and then when the front arrived it would drop 25 degrees in a couple of hours, or even less, and start snowing..
Re: McBride: Fulham V. Charlton [R] Fulham: Niemi, Rosenior, Knight, Pearce, Bridge, Malbranque, Diop, Elliott, Boa Morte, Helguson, McBride Subs: Crossley, Volz, Radzinski, John, Christanval Charlton: Myhre, Spector, Sorondo, Perry, Hreidarsson, Kishishev, Holland, Euell, Ambrose, M, Bent, D, Bent Subs: Andersen, Thomas, Powell, Sankofa, Bothroyd
Re: McBride: Fulham V. Charlton [R] A bunch of us went up to Newcastle on Friday and spent a night hanging around toon town. Then we figured we would get up, have some drinks in Newcastle and head over to Sunderland via the Metro. From the time we left Newcastle to the time we got to Sunderland (a 30 minute ride) the temp dropped 20 degrees and it went from sunny to hail the size of almost golf balls. Then came the sleet and the snow. Of course, we were on our way to our first away win and Brian scored but the match was lots of fun none-the-less. Now I only hope we can pull out 3 pts today!
Re: McBride: Fulham V. Charlton [R] McBride with a "clever" (GJ's word) header to Boa to start things.
Re: McBride: Fulham V. Charlton [R] "Lovely little cushioned header ..." gets Boa the ball thirty-five yards out. Boa's work from there earns him a comparison to George Best from Gentleman Jim.
Re: McBride: Fulham V. Charlton [R] So was McBride credited with an assist to Boa? American Mike, its good to hear you had a good time despite the weather and abandoned game. Its obvious you bleed Fulham. Maybe I should move to NY so I can hop the pond with ease on my way to the Cottage.
Re: McBride: Fulham V. Charlton [R] I couldn't go over as much as I do if I didn't live in NY. I definitely bleed black and white! I'll take the 3 pts today, a great overall effort from the boys and its about time that Boa stepped it up today and showed why he is captain.
