"My chief executive is trying to push things along with the organization over there," Blackburn manager Graeme Souness told Sky Sports News on Friday, as reported by The Associated Press. McBride, a striker for the Columbus Crew, went to the Premier League's Everton on loan during the 2002-03 season and scored four goals in just eight matches. Souness would like McBride on loan when the transfer window opens Jan. 1, with a view to making it a permanent move. "We've got four strikers who are quite similar, and McBride is a different type of player," Souness said. "He's more of a target man, and I feel he would complement what we have."
