Be sure to click on his photo at the site, to read his interview... two days into his Fulham adventure. http://www.fulhamfc.com nice feeling to know he and Carlos are about to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in!
"Originally from Arlington Heights in Illinois. . ." One of my first thoughts when the transfer went through was, "well I am guessing they will finally stop referring to him as 'Brian McBride of Arlington Heights'".
also a RealPlayer file showing an interview of Chris Coleman - I guess they post one each Friday 1st question about McBride and the answer is that he will not play this weekend - Work Permit not granted in time, expected on Monday.
bummer Fulham's latest signing, American striker Brian McBride, spent three months on loan at the Toffees last season, but unfortunately finds himself ineligible for Sunday as his work permit won't be through until next week. McBride admitted it would have been a fitting way to kick off his Fulham career. "It would have been exciting to make my debut against Everton," he said. "I owe a lot to them and their coach David Moyes. They've got a good bunch of guys there."
Any word on McBride's uniform number? He's worn 20, but that's taken. 4 & 8 are the only numbers under 35 that are available (Bocanegra is #34).
