Re: 1/28 McBride: Bolton - Everton ... speaking of Americans who kept established Everton players out of starting line-ups for awhile...
McBride: Everton v Bolton Wanderers, 1/28/03 [R] OK, since it's Tuesday night somewhere in the world, it's McBride's next matchday for Everton, so I thought I'd start this thread... didn't see it anywhere else, anyway. Game's at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton, 8 p.m. local time there, which makes it 3 p.m. EST/12 noon PST, IIRC, and 7 a.m. Wednesday here in Eastern Australia (mods, please correct me if I'm wrong on any of these time conversions)... Free webcast here, from evertonfc.com: http://www.evertonfc.com/match/live/index.asp And for your pre-game reading and entertainment pleasure... From Everton's website... McBride: Everton v Bolton Wanderers, 1/28/03 [R] Buff, while I was researcing mine, saw you posted your preview. Please merge mine to the pre-existing thread... Sorry for the duplications... damn my slow dial-up, too. Cheers, William
Some more pre-game talk about the congestion McBride is causing on the front line. http://icliverpool.icnetwork.co.uk/...fm?objectid=12577932&method=full&siteid=50061
I'm looking forward to the game tonight. I was hoping to see Wayne Rooney but the little git's suspended so McBride will do for me. After his time with Preston and his performance in the WC I'd hoped Bolton would sign him but that's turned out not to be the case. I'll let you know how he plays and if he scores I'm sure it'll be some jammy rebound off his ass.
McBride: Bolton vs. Everton, 1/28 (R) ~bump~ Thanks for the merging, Buff. And I've got to believe that McBride will be starting, based on the evidence I've seen, unless proven otherwise... Time for my sleep... until kickoff. Cheers, William
What I don't like about this scenario is if he plays solidly but doesn't score today he'll probably be replaced by Campbell in the starting line up on the weekend.
I would still like to see Mcbride (the set up man) paired with Rooney (the speed boy) ..... hope springs eternal .... waiting for the game after Leeds ....
is anyone else having a problem accessing the audio? i keep getting a "bad or outdated link" error. can someone give me a direct like to the ram file?
i also have another prediction... the yanks abroad board is going down today around 3pm. i wish i was a premium member.
Anyone know where match can be tracked with minute-by-minute written reports? Can't use the audio at work. thx
Here's to hoping that McBride causes enough disruption to be given serious consideration before the transfer widow closes. although unlikely, i can still hope.
I'm hoping someone does PBP here -- those message trackers are done by robots that don't know the difference between a catch/punch and a save/parry.
I'll give it a shot...my work has been long over for the day.... Edit: I'll do it as long as McMakingSegrovesLookStupidOnAWeeklyBasis™ is on the pitch
More McBride rumor fun Bolton's Sam Allardyce is keeping a (long-term)eye on McBride: http://soccernet.espn.go.com/headlinenews?id=256100&cc=5901 Allardyce said: 'I hope if we get a striker he makes the same kind of impact. That would be magnificent. 'I saw McBride's two goals against Sunderland and the first one he got a little bit of good fortune. 'But that just gives you the confidence to carry on scoring. We will have to keep an eye on him - we know about him from when he had a spell at Preston.'
Re: More McBride rumor fun I guess he wouldn't know about him from scoring goals in the last two World Cups?
