The Cottagers take the field following the hiring of Lawrie Sanchez on a rolling one year contract (same thing Cookie had - it's renewed yearly at the chairman's discretion). Northern Ireland are a bit miffed at the Cottagers for taking Sanchez away from them and are even seaking compensation for doing so. they said they had an agreement that he would not be forced to quit Northern Ireland to become the Fulham FC manager. Rumors are that Dempsey could get his first start with both Michael Brown and Papa Bouba Diop suspended for the encounter at Riverside. McBride and Bocanegra are almost certain to retain thier normal positions in the starting XI - hopefully with Boca in the middle where he belongs. Q and the five U's could return - depending on who you believe. It appears that Ian Pearce is still unavailable through injury. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/eng_prem/6627829.stm http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx...54&lid=&title=Boro+v+Fulham+preview&channel=&
Re: McBride, Boca, Dempsey : Fulham @ Middlesboro 5/12 [R] Up to almost 1 million pounds at stake for Fulham, depending on how high or low they finish on table (see bbc article). Other than that, not sure what else will be meaningful in this game (besides hopefully seeing the first time ever for a native Texan to start a game in the EPL, of course).
Re: McBride, Boca, Dempsey : Fulham @ Middlesboro 5/12 [R] The skysports article has Dempsey starting in midfield. Not certain whether that means in the center or on the right though.
Re: McBride, Boca, Dempsey : Fulham @ Middlesboro 5/12 [R] i might have double vision from reading at this time of night/morning but middlesboro's potential 14th place compensation differs from fulhams potential 14th place compensation - what is that about?
Re: McBride, Boca, Dempsey : Fulham @ Middlesboro 5/12 [R] http://home.skysports.com/livescores/ This works for me.
Re: McBride, Boca, Dempsey : Fulham @ Middlesboro 5/12 [R] Fulham has almost no chance to move up, unless they somehow pull out their first away win of the season and Man City similarly gets blown out by Spurs. (Please, Berbatov?)
Re: McBride, Boca, Dempsey : Fulham @ Middlesboro 5/12 [R] They won at Newcastle in September. McBride and Bocanegra both scored.
Re: McBride, Boca, Dempsey : Fulham @ Middlesboro 5/12 [R] Exactly. The 13th, not the 12th. Thread title needs to be corrected.
McBride always seems to do well on the last, meaningless game of the season. So he'll probably score at least one.
All three Yanks get the start. Not sure I'm liking the upfront pairing of McGod and Helguson but at least Clint gets a chance to do his thing.
Lol, talk about bare bones, Fulham's got a guy on the bench today, Matthew Briggs, who as of 6 months ago was on the England u-16s.
It looks like attacking center-mid, as the lineup includes 4 known defenders, and then Davies, Radz, and Volz (whom I assume will be pairing with Clint), unless Boca is being pushed up into the midfield, which I doubt.
With all 10 fixtures being played at the same time, this one is hard to find anywhere. Supposedly http://rojadirecta.com/ will have it on delay but who knows.
Middlesbrough: Schwarzer, Davies, Woodgate, Wheater, Pogatetz, Downing, Boateng, Rochemback, Arca, Lee, Viduka Fulham: Niemi, Rosenior, Christanval, Knight, Bocanegra, Dempsey, Volz, Davies, Radzinski, Helguson, McBride
http://www.myp2p.eu/Matches/Match2.htm looks like it will be on one of the ESPN channels at noon on Sopcast.
