....shouldnt MLS be grabbing some of these kids I read about loads on here?

The defender at Liverpool, the guy in Grimsby Reserves are the latest 2 Ive read about, and loads more in the 'USMNT Squad For 2006' Thread (or a name to that effect). Guys like John Thorrington, James Bishop and Paul Rachubka.
Im not too clued in on the history of all of these players, but surely if they are hangin around all over the footballing world, MLS must have had them available to approach at some point.........having more advantage over foreign teams as the kid wouldnt have to move away at an early age.......wouldnt have to leave the country atleast.

Am I missing the obvious here? Or is it a good point? If its true, I doubt Im the first person to raise an eyebrow or to at it.

I think that all the guys you listed have family ties to England. You could also include the young guy at Charlton. Beckett Hollenbach at St. Albans. The guy at Telford, etc. Anyway, I think all of these guys would rather be in England because they will be scouted more there and they are probably making better money than they would in MLS. Other than Thorrington and maybe Whitbre(a)d I don't think that any of these kids are going to stroll into a MLS first eleven. So getting paid to play reserve ball in England isn't a bad start.
