Are there any arrangements yet for what section Galaxy supporters will be in? I haven't heard back from my ticket rep.

Seems late in the day. I hope they haven't scrapped plans to put us in a group in a separate section like they have done in the past. To not do that would be a recipe for disaster.

Anyone heard anything at all ?

How about group transportation? Can we get a bus? Oh, and don't forget to make sure you have passports in order.

I asked my ticket rep about a week ago and he said that there were NO plans for a separate Galaxy section... which sucks because I have a group of 20-30 friends/co-workers that were stoked for the game.

If anyone wants to organize something, I'm down... if there's tailgating involved. :D

Due to the Chivas FO being full of a bunch of blithering cross-eyed insects, the "Away Supporters Section" is in section 103.

    Rows F and up.

Yeah, read that again. Rows F and up.

That means the Chivas FO feels comfortable putting five rows (approx 60 people) of Chivas fans in FRONT of the LA Riot Squad and the Galaxians.

Apparently, they REALLY wish to make the night go smoothly.

Further proof of the fact that the CHIVAS FO are complete amateurs.

READ MY WORDS: an island of hardcore Galaxy fans in the middle of goats will lead to one thing: arrests of a lot of Chivas fans.

But we still invite you to join the fun! ;-)

We got seats in 137 because we thought LARS would be in 138

    What's happening now?

Can't we just take over 138?

Maybe all of us can pile out of a single car like 5 minutes before game time.

That is a joke. Leave it to MLS (Yes I blame the league for not stepping in and telling Chivas that for public safety sake they need to provide an away section) to shoot itself in the foot. Should there be violence, which I think is a real possibility based upon my past experiences at away game vs. Chivas, I think there could be liability on the part of Chivas and MLS.

What a stupid decision. They are taking one of the best aspects of the rivalry and throwing it away. That is infuriating.

Where is goat-apologist Going Mobile with his insightful explanation as to why this is a good idea?

so what's the cheapest way to get in the stadium? On ticketmaster it appears to be $32. Knowing how Chivas gives so many tickets away, there has to be a better way.

    Anyone?

You know, every time I think the HDC/MLS can't screw up logistics any worse they still find a way to amaze me.

Sabi and I have always been a bit wary of attending these "away" games but this time we're bringing two solid males with us.. (Sabi's boyfriend and his brother). It will the the first game for both of them. We were able to get seats in our usual section and row 135 A thanks to the Chivas FO. Hopefully the guys first game won't turn out to be some kind of bloodbath off the field.

I am here, sorry for the dealy I just read the thread.I am no apolgist for ther FO I agree with most of what was said, other then MBA trying set up his class action lawsuit.
There should have clearly been better planning do we know if its on the Galaxy or Chivas FO side? we really don't. from reading LARS they didn't get the info from their rep til just a few days ago. If they expected Chivas to "hold" a section w/o any commitment from the G Fo then who can blame them for not holding a section. I agree having the in back of 7 rows of Chivas fans will not end nicely, just glad I won't have to deal with it.

It nice to see that the Chivas FO finally decided that 138 was a bad visiting team section for the Galaxy fans, makes it too much like a home game for the G, too bad they didn't put all you guys in the upper deck.

    See' ya Sunday

I won't speak for Tommy, but generally it is not unreasonable to expect in a game like this there will be a visiting fans contingent, whether it be strictly LARS or more general. There certainly is a history (albeit short) in LAG/Goats matches of visiting fan groups getting a section. LAG did it for years for SJE, for example, and did the same for CDCUSA a couple of weeks ago. Given that history, it was flat out stupid for Chivas FO to not make appropriate arrangements. I hear you that maybe LARS didn't get an order in soon enough. Even so, could CDCUSA really think there was any question about LAG fans showing up?

As soon as the schedule comes out, BOTH teams' FOs know what's coming. Period.

The Galaxy FO has pretty much given Legion 1908 a whole section in GA and even planned far ahead to make sure that they were to park in Lot 10 and they were to be held in the stadium until the Galaxy supporters left in ORDER TO AVOID SECURITY ISSUES. I'm sorry, but that's thinking ahead.

The Chivas FO has moved the "away supporter's section" multiple times including one time putting us RIGHT NEXT TO THE CHIVAS SUPPORTERS. Yeah, that's brilliant.

You said, "It nice to see that the Chivas FO finally decided that 138 was a bad visiting team section for the Galaxy fans, makes it too much like a home game for the G".

So, you feel that creating a security risk is preferable to a "home advantage" due to the fact that there will LITERALLY WILL BE MORE GALAXY FANS AT THIS GAME THAN CHIVAS FANS? I have a video (San Jose) of what happens when you mix away fans in the middle of home fans. It was very ugly and it was shown at MLS Headquarters and most of the league learned from it... apparently the CHIVAS FO has no clue. El Idiots Est Aqui!

Look, the Chivas home games this year have been anemic at best. There is NO REASON to not give an away supporters' a section unless Chivas is flat out embarrased by attendance numbers and how it'll look on tv.

PATHETIC. I'll do my best to make sure nothing happens. But I'll lay money down that several Chivas fans will be thrown out if not arrested.

And it won't be the Galaxy's fault.

    tommy mack

PS: all season ticket holders from LARS received a ticket to this game from the FO. That's over 200 people. The Galaxy were held back by the amateurs at the Chivas FO. Period.

Maybe we need to put the chivas supporters group on Lalas Hill for the next Galaxy home game.

Not sure if this is true or not, but my season ticket rep thinks that if you call the Chivas front office and ask to sit with Galaxy fans you can get a ticket for $12 in the same section the Riot Squad is getting set up.

    Worth trying...

Just an FYI game is less than 7K away from being sold out. If you're going to go you better get tickets NOW. I am guessing there will be none for walk up customers.

we need flags or sumtin to give that section 103 alot of color. I say all galaxy fans just take over that section from the first row to the last. no matter where your tix are we should all just pile in there!
