Dietz is taking blame for a late equalizer for Hannover that could be looked back on ruefully if they wind up in the playoff match. Could have been even worse - Hannover had a stoppage time matchwinner reversed. Furth on 36 points, one up on Braunschweig and Preussen Munster going into the final matchday.

Dietz the lowest rated player of the match because of his mistake.

Furth entered this last matchday still with a slight chance of being relegated. Dietz plays the whole match with solid stats. Furth beat Hamburg 3-2, costing Hamburg the title and handing it to victorious Koln, while moving themselves all the way up to 13th.

Dietz had a solid year and looks the part of a good 2.Bund starter, both on the backline and as a holding midfielder. Not sure he's done enough to get acquired by a team in a higher league or get a look with the senior Nats yet, but at 23, he's still on an improving trajectory and his physical gifts are good enough to maybe get there.

Dietz played all of a 3-2 loss to Eintracht Braunschweig. 97% passing but conceding three, not so strong. Didn't take direct blame on the goals.

Dietz played all of a 2-0 Cup victory over BW Lohne (Regionalliga). Credited with two chances created in the shutout.

Dietz with a strong shift today for Furth, 94% passing from the 6 for much of the match. One of the top players on the side. Winds up a 2-0 loss after Tolkin's late empty-netter, but if I see some more performances like this is might be time to think about a higher level for Dietz - with his versatility and athleticism and energy, if his tactical awareness continues to improve, someone will want him. Criticism from today would be accuracy of passes - not turnovers, but a handful of balls that were completed but a couple of yards off from the best place they could have been, thus slowing the attack.

Dietz returns to action today, starting against Hannover. 73 minutes. Pulled in an attacking triple sub that worked, helping Furth equalize for a 2-2 draw.

Dietz goes the full 90 in a 1-0 loss to FCK. Relatively non-descript on the statsheet with six defensive contributions. Online sources have him in a double pivot but given the subs he might have played on the backline for part of the match.

Starts alongside Julian Green in the central midfield against Dresden on ESPN streaming. Down 1-0 to Dresden at the half, dropping Furth to last in the live table.

Dietz gets a red card 35 SECONDS into the match against Eintracht Braunschweig today. Technically isn't sent off until the third minute, because the VAR review took three times as long as he spent participating in the match. Late, studs to the ankle challenge. Enjoy your week off. You'll likely spend it in last place, too.

Dietz has moved clubs, out of Germany and over to Poland with Górnika Zabrze

Górnika Zabrze finished 2nd last year, so good for him to move into European competition.

Poland's Ekstraklasa is turning into a great hangout for America defensive midfielders who are below MLS (starters) level but way above USL level.

Played 76 minutes in a 1–0 loss, lining up in central midfield in a 4-3-3. FotMob rated Dietz worst on the pitch with a 5.6, though that doesn't say much considering everyone in the front six, aside from the defenders, were rated around a 6.0.

Dietz completed 14 of 15 passes but managed only 19 touches, which isn't surprising given that Fenerbahçe dominated possession at nearly 80%. Fener also registered 15 shots and missed three big chances. Eyeballing stats, it appears Dietz and his 'mates spent most of the game defending, hanging on for dear life, and coming away with a respectable result despite the L.
