Due to his 5th official appearance for the first Squad of RKC the training compensation for the teams where Maurits played before, has to be paid by RKC Waalwijk. This makes it possible for any professional team to offer him a contract now without having to pay this obligatory training compensation. The costs can vary from approx $20k for Dutch teams to over $200K for teams outside Holland in A level competitions.

Looks like he is either trialing or has trialed for FC Eindhoven of the Eerste Divisie. Not sure which, but hopefully something comes of it. He scored in a friendly on the 14th: https://www.ed.nl/fc-eindhoven/vreemdelingenlegioen-fc-eindhoven-op-weg-naar-vaste-vormen~aba190c4/ This article from yesterday says he was one of five players who was "tested": https://www.ed.nl/fc-eindhoven/fc-e...aanvaller-en-belgische-middenvelder~a6309871/ So not quite sure if that means his trial is over. Best of luck to him in either case!
Ah, thanks for the clarification. It's a shame, but at least it sounds like he made a pretty good showing and hopefully there are better things coming for him.
