I was talking to some Schalke people yesterday Thier incompetence, is quite scary.

Could be Hoppe doesnt start because Hunterlaar is now there.

But can they really afford to bench a guy on such a hot streak?

No, but ... What if Hoppe is absolutely 100% refusing to sign an extension with Schalke, imo the correct path forward (assuming he'll be completely free to sign elsewhere this summer)?

Also, Huntelaar wasn't brought in to sit on the bench. Maybe Schalke could experiment with a double-H formation, but alternating the two players seems more likely.

Back to Hoppe, I think he'll have decent opportunities even if he doesn't play another minute for Schalke, but I think he will play, at least until he cools off.

I think Schalke has a chance. Why not? BM lost to Kiel the other day. They struggled against Bremen, they lost a couple weeks ago in the BL. It could hoppen!

Only difference in this match is that Lewandowski is slightly better than Hoppe. 2-0 down, now.

This is my first chance to watch Schalke this year. Uth is certainly a dynamic player. Hoppe has been pretty solid. This Schalke is 10x more fun to watch than Bremen.

That little bit of dribbling at Boateng was for us, I think.
