Forest smokes Chesterfield in a friendly yesterday 3-0. Carlos Miguel was Forest's keeper. Oddly Murillo came on, despite suggestions he was gone. He could still move, but I think playing friendlies means they don't care about his deal in terms of balancing the books. Must feel like the other moves have done that for them.

(Sels and Turner still on post Euro/Copa rest. Not on team sheet.)

He was also a half-time sub in their last pre-season match vs. Sunderland:

Murillo started that one. Sels just arrived in camp on Sunday and is presumably getting back up to speed.

Turner shutout half, replaced by Sels at the break, and Sels conceded. Turner not mentioned in a summary I saw.

He also did not concede in the half he played vs Sunderland BUT, the goal Sunderland scored in the first half was a PK.

All that said, he's currently Clean Sheet Matty

Hoping Matt can find some decent club willing to take a chance on him.

lmao... "just one more keeper bro, and we'll be out of the relegation battles. just one more bro, I swear its all we'll need"

Also... what if they try to swap Turner as part of this deal???

Arsenal will say "Turner? Thanks, but no thanks. Gibbs-White OTOH . . ."

Forest may be interested in Ramsdale, but I seriously doubt that Ramsdale is interested in them.

He's an EL-CL standard keeper who's been relegated, somewhat surprisingly, to the bench at a CL side. Why should he join a bottom-feeder?

He can do a hell of a lot better than Forest.

Well there is precedence. CL starter/winner and arguably better keeper Keylor Navas did it while he was behind Donnarumma.

Edit. Not saying that he should or wouldn't have better options, just that it isn't crazy. IMO

True, but Navas was 35 when he took that loan season. Retirement was/is looming.

Ramsdale is 26. He's got 10 years ahead of him and this is a full transfer rather than a loan.

Agreed and I would say it's about 0.1% chance of happening (still seems high). Just wanted to point out Navas doing it before.

Hopefully it comes to fruition. He badly needs a change of scenery and chance to start at the BL level would be great.

Well, of course they're struggling to negotiate with Forest, no one values keepers more than Nottingham Forest!

Would be very rock and roll if Turner went on loan to St. Pauli [I have no idea if that's the club interested]... I'd have to tune in for that.

NF unsure if they can start the season with only 5 keepers…

I'm racking my brain to think of a BL team where he would be an upgrade. Mainz, Augsburg maybe Freiburg. Otherwise he may just spend his time watching just like at Forest.
