    From the Monday QB Dept.

I get that you prefered Diego over Matt. My question would be why? What evidence had DW given over the entirity of the season to warrant such praise?

True, it worked out that Taylor had 4 good chances. Two of them of the quality that a goal should be expected. Yeah, blame him for the deficiency in finishing. He will live the rest of his life knowing that he had the game on his foot not once, but twice.

This from a guy who had never been off the West coast, surfed as a way of life, and was thrown into a land-locked area with limited PT. You take a hobby/lifestyle away from anyone, much less an early-20s guy and you have a recipe for things of this nature. Taylor was an obvious fish-out-of-water. From the mop surfer hair to the porn 'stache, you have solid evidence. It's no wonder he wasn't protected.

I'll say this for Matt Taylor: He was dangerous enough to find space 4 times in limited minutes. Even discounting for the 10-man D, you have to at least respect the danger. Taylor will be better back at home in the same way all of us are better in our element. What will come back to haunt KC is the 2004 #1 pick getting away for nothing. This is the real failure of the KC FO. They lost a bet that Taylor wouldn't be taken. I'm amazed there are no threads to this point yet. Forget the MLS Cup stealing situation. That's over. Everyone but McDildo seems to grasp how fortunate the "black and white" are today.

To some degree dc was apparently meant to win that Final. DC was [is still] the **************** team by a long-stretch. KC missed their top 3 players, one of them a Cup-winning GK. Taylor had 4 shots to beat a midgit and didn't even make Rimando move really. DC recieved numerous "breaks" fall their way that wre admittedly converted. All this and still the black and white still should have been on to OT tied at 2 and down a man. KC's failure is in a nutshell the inability to covert earned chances combined with dc's conversion of those chances given. dc didn't win this Cup, KC unbelievably just failed to prevent losing it.

Luckiest team in the history of all sport...dc united. Hats off.

I think the reasons that we wonder why Taylor and not Walsh as that we already had Igor in the game... for somereason playing wing. He did not play good out there at all. And he was on the right and not the left. So I'd have brought in Walsh and moved Igor up front ... being a man up and 3 attackers like igor, josh and Davy in the game and we would have scored again. Davy had multiple guys on him all game so that would have given josh and igor chances.
