Yeah, though a nice little run for Matt who stepped up after Flanagan flopped. He seems to have jumped one notch on the pecking order.

85' SUB: Matt Polster comes on to replace James Tavernier | 1-2— Rangers Football Club (@RangersFC) March 12, 2020
The Scottish Premiership officially ended the 2019 - 2020 season on Monday. The final standings are based on points per game. Polster's 2019/2020 stat line in the league is a yellow card in 339 minutes of play (6 appearances, 3 starts). Rangers finished second and have qualified for the first qualifying round of the 2020 - 2021 UEFA Europa League. Polster added 90 minutes in the League Cup (1 start). Rangers eventually lost the final to Celtic. He also has an assist in 95 minutes of play (2 appearances, 1 start) in the UEFA Europa League to date. Rangers are still alive in the competition, though down 3-1 to Bayer Leverkusen after their home first leg in the Round of 16. UEFA hopes to complete the competition in August.
It's wild because despite the low minutes, this is kinda shockingly punching above his weight. League cup, UEFA including v. BL... It's some fun stories for the old folks home.
13 appearances overall isn’t bad. If he doubles that next year and knocks in a goal or two he could earn himself another contract and stay over there, Rangers or otherwise. He’s a decent player.
One of the problems with going to college is that it doesnt give you a second chance with injuries because there is so little time to step up when turning pro in 20's age group. What little I saw of Polster with Rangers, he was playing with more purpose and more effectively than others. Problem would be how athletic can a player be when dealing with the time off for injury Polster has suffered in his career.
He was really helped by Spectoresque injuries though. I don't see him doubling his minutes unless equally fortunate. He's not a bad player, but in general the reviews were very "wasn't awful" rather than "hmmm, interesting addition." Not saying he can't get more time, but would not shocked if 19-20 were about the top for Gers for Matt.
Don't get me wrong. I'm happy to see him getting time. I'm just not sure he made good enough use of it. Was not by any means poor, but probably needs to be a bit more impactful. But sure, Dundee is beautiful this time of year...
