    The Ekstraklasa, perhaps.

Naah, he's better than that, but not a whole lot better IMO. Switzerland or Austria, maybe, or back to Belgium or Holland.

Basically, he could do a good job in any of the tier-two leagues, but ideas of him being able to perform, consistently, in a Top 5 league are evidently a bit far-fetched

Still didn't play but at least his club finally got a victory, 2-1 over Villarreal.

    A 2-1 win.

Two matches left. Hopefully Matt gets an appearance to say goodbye.

They lost 3-1 and Miazga becomes the #9 Yank Abroad relegated this season after Green, Tillman, Sargent, Boyd, Gallegos, Bello, Busio and Tessmann.

    Does Miazga really count though?

Anyone who has played league games counts, and Miazga has 831' in La Liga.

That's also why Jack de Vries doesn't count as relegated (only played in a Coppa game for Venezia's main team).

Should we ask Chelsea, Vitesse, Nantes, Reading, Anderlecht, or Alaves?

but seriously, this is one of the more painful career trajectories.

If a Miazga gets relegated and no one sees or hears about him did it really happen?

Of the loans he's had so far, Anderlecht seems like it was the most successful.

I sort of wonder if he should do a loan to somewhere in MLS this summer given how he's barely played for awhile. Probably his best shot to get back into the World Cup picture.

Otherwise it's another loan some point this summer for next season.

He plays well enough as an individual, maybe not in La Liga and Ligue 1, but definitely in the Championship and in the Jupiler.

I'm afraid his issues may have more to do with the social part of the game.

Vitesse went very well for him. Just couldn't build off it.

Eredivisie, Jupiler, Championship. Basically, any Top-third team in a tier-two league where he has to raise his game to near-Top 5 level for games against the other Top-third sides and EL or Conference games.

Not CL games, though. I shudder to think what the likes of Spurs, Dortmund, PSV or even a vintage year Copenhagen would do to him.
