Considering Matt's fallout in MLS, what are the chances he could get an opportunity with the Rapids?

Would he be worth anything to us?

I mean, for a team already struggling at the defensive end of the field, could his presence hurt?

Of course, if the cap doesn't permit, but he's already has experience here and I'm not unsure that he can help the team.

Doesn't seem like a bad idea to me. Where am I going wrong?

    Any thoughts?

This defense already gets too many cards, the last thing we need is McKeon to rack up more.

    Ah...

From the thread title, for a minute there I thought you were gonna tell me that McKeon was called into the Confederations Cup squad, a la 1999. He replaced Chris Armas on that occasion - and, speaking of cards, was sent off in the 3rd place game for two bookable offenses (the second was no great shakes).

We already have one of the best defensive midfielders in the country ... why do we want one like Matt?

Despite his reputation, if he is motivated, he is one of the top d-mids there is.

His problems in KC were "interpersonal", not gone because of a lack of talent.

He's a risk, to be sure, but he has a great deal of skill and speed for a big man.

As for the 1999 Confed Cup, his booking was questionable, and he was highly praised by Arena.
