Came across this at www.ussocceruk.com Top-center of the page. Excerpt- "The American has been training with Martimo while his agent Craig Sharon tried to re-sign the keeper to an acceptable new MLS contract, which hasn't been forthcoming . Jordan has also been linked with a move to Colorado, should he re-sign with the US top-flight." Any thoughts about possibly picking up Jordan? If I recall correctly, he's an Aurora boy.
Once again, if Jordan re-signs with MLS (he played with the Burn last season) the only way the Rapids could acquire him is by trading for him or picking him off waivers if the Burn place him there.
Prior to the draft I was thinking that might have been part of a potential trade for one of Dallas' higher picks, but figured that in Jordan the Burn had a younger yet solid starting keeper at a reasonable salary... didn't realize his contract was up. Hmmm. No question he'd be a fantastic backup to Garlick -- hell, he'd challenge Garlick for the starting role -- but would Jordan really want to make a deal with a team where he'd initially be a backup? Only way I could see that happening would be if he were somehow guaranteed that Garlick would be stepping aside after this season and the job would be his for years to come afterwards. I'm all for getting as many local players on the team as they can right now.
