Can anyone tell me where this guy is at? He was one of my favourite players at WC2002.

Sorry for the ignorance, but I can't say I follow Ireland... I know he's still at Charlton, but what news on the international front?

    Cheers for the help.

Staring bleekly at the end of his tenure in Irelands midfield with the emergance of Liam Miller fairly immenent.

Matt Holland was one of your favorite players?!?!?!?!

I take it you have a liking for dull, no frills, lay the ball sideways, sometimes completely anonymous, distinctly average, bog-standard central midfielders?

Did you not notice Ronaldo, Ronaldinho or Rivaldo?

He put in a pretty solid effort for all Ireland's games, scored one pretty blistering goal, and generally helped keep the midfield together (which was one of the keys to Ireland's progression).

Nothing fancy, it's true, but he's not by nature a fancy player. By all accounts he had a good tournament.

I'm not too interested in the Brazilians, to be honest.

Yeah I agree entirely. I was just trolling really. We were/are lucky to have him considering that we lost Keano. I just wish he would take more games by the scruff of the neck as he more regularly does for Charlton.
