I saw this tweet and started to do some digging on him:

The only thing mentioning possible US citizenship is his Wikipedia page, which doesn't have a reference for this section:

Succar's paternal grandfather is of Lebanese descent and for that reason, he is eligible to be selected for their national team. He can also play for the United States' national team due to his fathers nationality and for Peru due to his citizenship.

He has a brother, Alexander, who presumably has the same father:

His father's family has definitely bounced around the world, if this is correct.

The Peruvian-Lebanese-American '99 Mattias Succar has an older brother, Peruvian-Lebanese-American '95 Alexander Succar. It looks like he's the property of Sporting Cristal in Peru's first division but has been out on many loans, currently it seems to Universitario.

He has apparently had some looks with Peru but I don't know if he's cap-tied. And someone has nicknamed him "El Tanque," which is a good nickname.

    Thread for his brother:

Ugh -- my bad. For some reason, I've recently had threads not show up in Google searches; usually when that happens, I remember to also do a site search, when they do show up... but I forgot to do that this time.

I started threads on these guys yesterday because of that issue. There's a link to an article from February in them that confirms their American father, among other things. Maybe one of the mods can merge the two Mattias threads...

Hmm. Wondering, if it's not too late, whether we should combine the two Mattias threads, and keep Alex on his own. Alex deserves a thread; he's older, with an established career.

That's what I meant. You'll see I only included the link to the other Matias thread.

I figured! I just chalked the mistake up to the moderators being ... well, you know. ;)
