We might want to be France, Spain or Argentina. Unfortunately we don't have players. Albert is much coser to our MNT ones than people think. He might have very limited minutes before the WC, but most of our roster won't be even considered by Dortmund level club.
Albert should be nowhere near the USMNT until he's playing first team mins at a high level somewhere against grown men. There are simply too many more talented and more experienced American footballers out there for him to take anyone's spot at a chance at the world cup atm. He's close to making his big boy debut which I believe we are all excited for. He looks to be on that Reyna/Pulisic track, which was way ahead of where Cole Campbell was. But give him time, lets not force anything, and let him develop in his own time. He is still a child ffs.
Sometimes what surprises me the most about these arguments is how confident some of you are in something that is unquantifiable. lol.

Who? Your psychic? Your crystal ball? Don't leave us hanging. You're the one who can see the future so well you know for a fact we should put the equivalent of a 10th grader on the World Cup roster.
I guess I'm one of those experts, but you won't see my opinion since you have me on ignore. He still hasn't earned a callup, much less when you suggested he did. And I never said he won't make an appearance this season. I'd love it if he does.
Coach said in the press conference Thursday (Feb 5th) that Mathis and 2 others were brought up from the youth teams and started training with the first team and they’ll be more involved in the coming weeks. It sounds like Dortmund has had some injury problems and they need some reinforcements. Coach made it very clear he’s not expanding the roster but bringing in reinforcements/support.

Not with the 1st team today, though being up 3-0 at the half would have been a nice set-up for a 1.BL debut.
Did they get some guys back from injury? I don’t know the team very well these days.. Reggiani is still on the squad (youth guy who made his debut on field last week).

He’ll get his chances soon enough with the first team. The coach did stress a couple weeks ago the roster wasn’t changing, they just needed to bring up some youth for support due to injuries.
