If you read the article, he didn't make his debut... The record refers to the youngest player to appear for the U23's.

No idea how credible, but here is one source. ️ @FunkeSport https://t.co/MWpkFeund5" / X Following the positive impressions from the BVB training camp, it can be assumed that the top talents Kaba, Albert & Inacio could already collect their first minutes of action in the Bundesliga during the second half of the season under Niko Kovac, provided the flow of the games allows it.
It seemed like a tight training camp. This week’s sessions were all closed door. But, hopefully these positive reports about Albert are correct.
Poch should call him. https://www.reddit.com/r/ussoccer/c...s_albert_16_dortmund_v_west_ham_u21s_premier/
Thanks for posting. He is on super path that is comparable to Pulisic and Reyna at that age but unless they expand the rosters beyond 26 I don't agree.
Maybe even a year ahead of Pulisic/Reyna. I don't think he should go to the WC at this point either. He should be called to the camp though. Especially considering that he is eligible for Germany as well.
Ridiculous. He doesn't deserve to be called to camp, especially the last camp before the WC. Who cares about Germany? First, if we lose him to them, that's his choice. Second - you think they're going to call him in anytime soon?
Yes, I think they will. And what do you mean deserve? The kid is playing 4 years up for Dortmund and looks like the best player on the field. He probably will have some minutes for the first team before the WC, definitely at the start of the next season. I doubt he makes 26, definitely should be among the 30 if that's the case.
